Loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Gilbert was born July 19, 1919, in Oshkosh, Wis., and passed away September 4, 2007, in Des Moines at the age of 88 years.

He is survived by his sons Michael Heinzel and Steven (Deborah) Heinzel, daughter Susan Richards, sister June Vogds, seven grandchildren, Shelley, Kathy, Mandy, Kelsey, Zachary, Devin and Spencer, and six great-grandchildren. Gilbert was preceded in death by his loving wife, Geraldine, and son John.

Cryptside Services were held September 8, 2007, at Bonney-Watson Washington Memorial, SeaTac.
