Arnold

Donald Richard (Dick) Arnold of Burien died peacefully Sept. 24, 2007, after a courageous and hopeful battle with cancer.

His final resting place on this earth will be at the Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, where he will be buried with the honors due him as a career Marine Corps veteran who served in Korea as well as two tours of duty in Vietnam.

His Marine Corps career included a two-year stint as Drill Sergeant at Camp Pendleton, as well as recruiting officer in Binghamton, N.Y. A second career followed in mail handling for the U.S. Postal Service.

He was much loved and will be missed by his sister, Inez Kollmar of Stanwood, his daughter Cynthia Hillard (husband Brad), and granddaughters Chelsea and Maddie of Maple Valley, as well as two nephews and a niece.
