On March 2 the Herald met with a crew of five people, four of them members of St. John the Baptist on California Ave s.w., who headed to Mulundi Village, Kenya to help villagers build a four-room secondary school.

The building mission is taking place during the week of March 21.
Kate McCormick took a moment out of her busy schedule to send the Herald some photos of their progress and activities in Kenya (they can be seen in the slideshow above).
McCormick wrote the following updates with her email:
“We arrived in the village and were very warmly welcomed by Janet’s family and the church of St. James. They greeted us with song and dance.”
“The time is flying by and has been very intense. It is impossible to say much in a few lines because of the varied nature of the activities.”
