Charles David Kaeser, 60, entered into rest on Monday, October 29, 2007. He was born on April 7, 1947, in Orange County, California to Mr. Charles Edward and Mrs. Dorothy Kaeser.

Surviving family members include his wife, Lori J. Kaeser, one sister, Sherry Scott from California, one daughter, Stephanie Ortiz from California, son Michael Kaeser from Hawaii, and one stepson, Lonny Sinkevich from Seattle, and seven grandchildren.

Charlie was a Vietnam War Veteran where he served honorably in the United States Air Force and was also a veteran in law enforcement. He served as a police officer on the east coast before coming to the City Of Des Moines Police Department where he served as an Evidence Officer Technician. He loved the city and working at the police department.

He found great peace and joy by working on his yard, woodworking and talking with friends. Charles adored his grandchildren and enjoyed vacationing in Las Vegas and Reno. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him. His grandchildren loved him and will greatly miss their big Teddy bear.
