The baseball team played Bothell in a make up match for Wednesday's rained out game.
After a scoreless first inning, both teams scored two runs in the second inning. The third inning was scoreless again but Ballard got ahead by scoring one run in both the fourth and fifth inning. Going into the sixth inning with the same consistency, Ballard scored yet another one run in the first half. But Bothell made a comeback and the Beavers gave away the lead in the second half of the sixth innings when Bothell was able to four runs.
Ballard was unable to get any runs across the plate in the half on the seventh inning, ending the game with a six to five loss to Bothell.
Ballard's Frank Airey and Ben Welch were both 2 for 3 with 1 RBI.
The baseball team will play again today at 3:45 p.m. at Whitman against Woodinville.
