Soccer:
The boys soccer team loses to Inglemoor in an exciting overtime match on Friday evening.
Inglemoor was the first to score, putting a ball in the back of the net 15 minutes into the first half.
Ballard's Sam Zisette scored the equalizer in the 34th minute for a 1 -1 tie at half time.
Inglemoor scored their second goal at 55 minutes but Jeff Collings soon evened out the score for Ballard.
The game went into overtime with a 2 -2 tie and it was Inglemoor's Baxter Hagen who scored the winning goal.
Ballard lost 3 to 2.
Baseball:
Beavers baseball faced Skyline last night and lost 6 to 1.
Danny Thomson was on the mound for Ballard and had 7 hits against them. Ballard had 5 hits but didn't manage to get the runners across the plate.
The game was scoreless until the second half of the third inning when Skyline brought three runners home. They scored another two runs in the fourth. Ballard got on the scoreboard with one run in the fifth inning but didn't score again for the rest of the game.
Softball:
Beavers softball hosted Bothell at Lower Woodland Park yesterday for a 10 to 6 loss.
Both teams started off well, each scoring two runs in the first inning and Ballard soon got ahead of Bothell.
By the fifth inning Ballard was ahead 6 to 2 when Bothell started scoring. Bothell scored one run in the sixth and 7 runs in the last inning. Ballard was unable to even out the score.
Britnney Blokker was two for three with a triple and a double . Bernie Cardon was two for one with a double and Lexie Gray hit a homerun and brought in one run.
Andrea Jewett pitched all game and struck out 6 batters.
Track:
Ballard participated in the 47 school Eason Invitational meet on Saturday. The meet included top teams from all of Western Washington and Canada.
Two Ballard athletes finished in the top 10 in their events: Alex Bowns finished fifth in the 1600 meters and third in the 3200 meters, scoring 10 points for the Ballard boys' team.
Emma Onstad-Hawes finished seventh in the 400 meters, giving the girls' team two points.

Since it is Spring Break this upcoming week there will be no regular meet on Thursday but Ballard will compete next Saturday (4/23) at the Bellevue Invitational.
