Born Feb. 12, 1915 to Charles and Marcella Rohr in Bremerton, WA.

Survived by husband Edwin Benckert Jr. of 61 years, by brother Stephen Rohr, and preceded in death by brother Charles Rohr. Also survived by daughters Marcy and husband Mike Nicol, Mary and husband Art Reis, and son Mike and wife Michele.

Grandma Dot loved and is missed by her five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Dorothy will be missed by her immediate family, cousins, and a large extended family.

Funeral services were held at Holy Rosary Church in West Seattle on Feb. 17, 2009 at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Andrew’s Housing Group – a not for profit provider of low income housing.
