Melanie “Lana” Aleksich Saxton passed away in her home in Seattle on Feb. 16, 2009.

She was born in Seattle on June 15, 1945 and spent her entire life there.

Melanie attended Holy Rosary School for all 12 years and graduated in 1963. She attended Seattle University and the University of Washington.

She is survived by her loving sister Jeanne, her God-daughter Melanie and many devoted relatives and friends.

Her funeral mass was celebrated Friday Feb. 20 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, her Parish of many years. Interment was at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
