More languages, more signs for White Center

The White Center Chamber of Commerce, working with designer Kathi George of Noise without Sound Design have finalized the languages to be added to the welcome signs at various locations around the community.
There are now five total signs (two have been installed already) and they are meant to reflect the highly diverse population of the area. The first two signs were paid for with a Department of Neighborhoods grant

The sign at Roxbury and 20th was installed in January and the new signs will go up on May 13th. The following day is Spring Clean in White Center during which some landscaping will be added to the sign installations.
They are still seeking sponsors for the final sign near McDonalds. Sponsorship costs $1700 but bear in mind, it's a permanent sign (though the sponsorship is good for ten years). The company, person or organization gets their name along the bottom of the sign in a separate banner.
