Gloria Mae Parker Dolstad

Gloria Mae Parker DOLSTAD
Was born in Myrtle Point, Oregon, June 13, 1922 to Lloyd and Alvira Parker and passed away June 14, 2009. She graduated from Ballard High School in 1940 and married classmate Robert Dolstad. They lived most of their lives in the house where she grew up in Ballard, before moving to Bothell. Gloria was a homemaker in every sense of the word who devoted her life to her family always being there for her son, daughter, grandchildren, neighbors, and friends. She loved to dance and they belonged to the Good Times Dance Club and danced weekly at the Bothell Sons of Norway, the Normana Sons of Norway, and the Bothell Senior Center. She was preceded in death by Robert, her husband of 61 years, and their son, Robert P. Dolstad who also graduated Ballard High School (1966). Gloria is survived by her daughter Patricia Webster, her husband Gary, and their daughter Lisa North, husband Matthew, and their daughter Leah. She is also survived by granddaughter Michelle Jackson and her three sons Brandon Tolbert, Zachary and Jeremy Jackson, and grandson Robert T. Dolstad, wife Kimberly, and their children Gabriel and Charlise Dolstad. Gloria will be remembered as a fabulous dancer, seamstress, sugar cookie maker and most of all a very kind, gentle lady who was also very strong. Had it not been for her wonderful caregivers, Lily, Peter, Florentina, and Marian, she would not have seen her 87th birthday. Sincere thanks to them. Since Gloria suffered a stroke 4 days after the passing of her husband, the family did not say good bye to him as they intended to so there will be a celebration to honor both of them Sunday, June 28 at the Shilshole Beach Club, 4pm to 8pm. Remembrance to Evergreen Hospice, Children’s Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
