RONALD ERIC "BUCK" ANDERSON Age 69, born May 7th, 1940 in Seattle. Passed away December 10th, 2009 in Edmonds. He is survived by his 99-year old father, L. Eric Anderson, his son Eric Anderson, his former spouse Carol June (Hinkleman) and his beloved dog Haley. He graduated from Ballard in 1958 where he was a standout football player known for an exceptionally long kickoff return against Franklin in the 1956 Jamboree. He is the founder of Anderson Magruder, a successful mechanical contracting business with David Magruder and had various philanthropic endeavors like the Shriners and Jesters. Also, he was on an around the world trip that set a world speed record which raised over $500,000 for children's charities. He loved fresh and saltwater fishing, owned and bred thoroughbreds, and enjoyed a great round of golf. He was generous with his time, money and friendship to all those who knew him, and always had a funny story or joke to tell. A memorial will be held at Nile Golf & Country Club on Saturday, January 9th, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. A lifelong animal lover, remembrances can be made to Home ward Pet Rescue Shelter.
