Dorothy Ruth (Eggers) Wells, 85, formerly of Santa Rosa, CA died peacefully Feb. 22, 2008 in Seattle, WA. She was born Nov. 6, 1922 in Haddam, KS to William & Delia Serafin Eggers. She graduated from Springfield Baptist Hospital’s Diploma Nursing Program in Springfield, MO on Nov. 2, 1946. Dorothy worked as a RN for the next 45 years.

Dorothy married Dorsey Wells in 1951 and moved to Santa Rosa, CA in 1955 where they settled to raise four daughters together until his sudden death in Nov. 1973. She and her youngest daughter, Donna, moved to Seattle, WA in 1999.

Dorothy is survived by: four daughters Deborah Wiseman, Delores Kannas, Doris Wells-Papanek, and Donna Wells; two brothers Roy and Harold Eggers; seven grandchildren Dylan Kannas, Daria Rachel (Kannas) Shreve, Peter, Douglas and Lindsay Wiseman, and Charles and Julia Papanek; and one great grandson Ezekiel Shreve.

Memorial services will be held the Santa Rosa Memorial Park Chapel on Monday, March 3, 2008 at 10:00 AM.
