Darrell Leland Korhonen
June 16, 1933 – June 16, 2008
Born in Portland, OR – Died in Seattle, WA
Darrell retired from US West after 35 years with the telephone company.
He is survived by Betty, his wife of 50 years, son Kenneth Korhonen, daughter Mary Trujillo and son-in-law Joe Trujillo, daughter Susan Hart, grandchildren Kyla Trujillo, Melissa Hart and Jonathan Hart.
He was a member of Evergreen MAFCA and Emerald City MARC clubs and the West Seattle Sportsmen’s Club.
A Memorial service will be held at the Howden-Kennedy Funeral home, 3909 SW Alaska Street, Seattle on June 26 at 11am. A reception will follow in the Community Rooms at the Kenney Retirement Home, 7125 Fauntleroy Way SW.
Memorials may be sent to the West Seattle Sportsmen’s Club, American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
A good man, a life well lived. You will be missed.
