Virgie Lee Meduna age 58, of West Seattle, passed away suddenly while on vacation in North Dakota on July 3rd, 2008 as a result of a pulmonary embolism caused by pancreatic cancer that was recently diagnosed.
Virgie was born in Wheatland, Wyoming on April 9th, 1950 to her parents, Virgil Lowder of Kent,WA and Edith (Lowder) Childs (deceased).  She was a graduate of Sealth High School and enjoyed her thirty year career as a medical assistant for Group Health Cooperative of Seattle.
Virgie felt incredibly blessed by all the love and support she received since her diagnosis.  She had accepted God's special plan for her and her strength and serenity were an inspiration to everyone.  God now has a beautiful, strong woman in a special place in heaven.
Virgie will be missed tremendously by her family and her army of friends.  She is survived by her loving husband, Jack Meduna;  her three children, Jill (Meduna) Jaksich, Cami (Johnson) Aksdal and Clayton Johnson;  her brothers, Norman (Sarah) Lowder and Russell (Nola) Childs.  She loved and very much enjoyed her four grandchildren, Sydney Jaksich, Corbin Jaksich, Georgia Lee Aksdal and Michael Aksdal.  Virgie loved all animals and leaves behind her very special Charlie.
At Virgie's request there were no services.  Cremation was handled by Forest Lawn of West Seattle.  A party to celebrate Virgie's remarkable life will be held at a later date.  In honor of Virgie, donations would be greatly appreciated by her family to:
