Evelyn Alexander

In memory of Evelyn Alexander, loving wife and mother to Karl P Alexander Sr. and Karl P. Alexander Jr.
Evelyn was born Dec 12, 1916 in Shawnee Ok. And passed away peacefully with her son at her side, in Seattle Wa., On July 22, 2008. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Preston and is survied by her son Karl Jr.
Evelyn was a long time resident of West Seattle, involved in several originations, including the Womems Auxillary of her husbands Union, Local 32 Plumbers and Steamfitters, a lifetime member of the Eastern Star, as well as a close group of West Seattle ladies called the “Odd Balls”. She also was involved at the Wet Seattle YMCA Senior Sneekers and enjoyed swimming everyday.
Evelyn spent her life making friends and helping others. She loved quilting, sewing and “fur remodeling”. She was the best parent, neighbor or friend you could have, She and Preston were supporters or the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, attending many fundraisers, Evelyn was also active with her Maggie Lake vacation community, where she memorialized the area by creating an historic quilt.
In the last year of her life, Evelyn continued as she always had---------Making many new friends young and old at Providence Mount Saint Vincent. She is missed by the many who knew her.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm Aug. 3, 2008
