After 8:00 p.m. there was still plenty of sunshine left on Alki Beach for Stephanie Sullivan of Alki, and her friends Nate and Willie to stroll with two kayaks toward a spot to plunk them in. Both kayaks are hers, and she took a chance on her friends trying them out for the first time.
