Lily Cromer

In memory of long time West Seattle resident Lily Cromer, loving wife, mom, grandma and best friend to all who knew her. Lily passed away at her home on July 27th, 2008.

Mom was born to Earl and Rosetta (Bliss) Williams in Canada on October 27, 1926. She grew up in the Skagit Valley area then later settled in West Seattle. She met Richard Cromer, the love of her life while singing at The Jigsaw. They were married on July 25th, 1968. Mom spent many years working at Associated Grocers and then at Sears where she retired.

Mom enjoyed being with family and friends and always had a smile to share or a place at the table for whoever stopped by. Her greatest accomplishment and pride and joy was her family.

Lily is survived by her husband of 40 years Richard, sons Ken Allen (Gerri) of Tacoma, Lenny Allen (Karen) of Tacoma, and Dennis Allen (Jodi) of West Seattle, daughters Terry Boerger (Charlie) of Elk River MN, Patty Moore of Edina MN, sister Ruth Vercoe of Burlington, and many grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, nephews and friends.

Our hearts are broken and our lives will forever have an empty place. Mom will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Services were held on August 2nd, 2008 at Howden-Kennedy in West Seattle. We extend a special thank you to Dennis Petersen and Sarah Cannon at Howden-Kennedy for helping make this sad day a little easier.
