The angels in heaven are smiling as Marguerite Ann (Albert) Kelly joined them on September 26, 2008. Marguerite was born August 9, 1911 in Buckley, WA, the eldest daughter of Anthony and Caroline Albert. She graduated from Washington State Normal School in Ellensburg, now Central Washington University, with a teaching degree, married William Kelly and made their home in West Seattle where they raised their two daughters Joann and Jeannie. Marguerite a talented homemaker and community volunteer completed her masters degree at the UW and returned to teaching where she was remembered until her retirement as an adored kindergarten teacher for 21 years at the Arbor Heights Elementary School in West Seattle.
Marguerite was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill, their precious daughter Jeannie Sy and brother George Albert. She is survived by her devoted daughter and son in law, Joann and Jim Norman of Seattle, adoring grandchildren Tiffany McCracken (Jeff) Homer, Illinois, Kelly Zarling (David) Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Jeff Norman of Seattle, five cherished great grandchildren Max and Linna McCracken, Zach, Mac and Nicholas Zarling and her loving siblings Carol Fosnick, Mary Lou Taylor (Don), Joe Albert (Betty), sister in law Mildred Kelly and many dear nieces, nephews and friends.
A very special thank you to the nursing staff at the Mount, Providence Hospice and to her friends there who have supported and loved her as well as our family on her final journey. In her honor, a memorial service is planned for Tuesday, September 30th at 1:00 o’clock PM at Providence Mount Saint Vincent, her home for the past six years and a celebration of her life will follow.
