Maryann Maginis

Maryann Julia (Jones) Maginnis

Born August 18, 1916, Maryann passed away peacefully at
the Kenney Home on December 8, 2008. The granddaughter of
Seattle pioneers, she was a life-long resident of Alki,
and a graduate of UW where she was a Sigma Kappa. She
taught at Madison Junior High, served on the Pike Place
Market Historical Commission, and was on the board of the
Women’s University Club. Predeceased by David, her husband
of 63 years, she leaves four children:  Margaret Taysi
(Haluk), Mary Cocivera (Michael), Judy and David; four
grandchildren:  Yasemin Taysi (Wolfi Braun), Deren Taysi
(Alexandra), Tracy Cocivera and T. Maginnis Cocivera; and
four greatgrandchildren:  Rania and Dominik Braun and
Kilian and Caitlin Taysi.
Memorial services will be private. Please direct
