Jim P. Joesph

On December 20th 2008 we lost our best friend (DAD), and, I bet a close friend of yours. I have an uncanny love for animals that I learned not only from my father but his mother, Jeanne Kiser, as well. Animal rescues and sanctuaries are not a secret in this family – I’m certain most people did not realize this but if you looked into those blue eyes of our dads and got to know him you would. Dad loved his children, Donald E. Joseph of Snohomish, Jimmie P. Joseph of Auburn, Judy Lynn Slaney of Maple Valley and Teresa Joseph of Shelton very dearly. Dad lost his best friend, and wife, of over 50 years, Betty, unexpectedly in 2001. On down the line he was blessed to have met a new friend, Karen in which there was a close, loving friendship. She is our friend for life. Our father gave more of himself then he expected from others. Dad was a Korean War veteran. He was a member of Habitat for Humanity, Kiwanis, Faith Lutheran, Saint’s Pantry, the Elks, the Moose and (et al) …We can only hope to continue to aspire to be the person he was. Dad loved to RV, and took months traveling every year. Did anyone know that dad was a pilot? Hmmm. There's so much more to write and for you to know. I just want you to know that he loved his friends and we do too. There will be a celebration of life for Jim at Lake Limerick Country Club on January 10, 2008 at 1:00. Any thoughts can be directed to Teresa at (360) 426-9134
