MARY ANN HOBSON
Born on December 28, 1933 to Matt & Anna Sardarov in West
Seattle . Passed away from cancer on January 2 in
Scottsdale AZ on vacation. She attended Holy Rosary
School and West Seattle High School (51). She married
Robert Hobson in September 1951 and they enjoyed 52 years
together before his passing in 2003. Mary Ann enjoyed
being a Navy wife and living in Guam, California and Japan
before Bobs Navy retirement and their return to West
Seattle to raise their family. Upon retirement, she and
Bob moved to Kent where they found many new friends and
neighbors. She was proud to be a West Seattle High School
Indian and attended the yearly all-school reunions and her
class reunions. She liked a good game of golf, martinis,
the UW Huskies and traveling (recently Croatia to visit
extended family in Split). She is survived by her
children, Michael (Wendy) Hobson, Lori (Doug) Sherman,
Nancy (Steve) Flint and Teresa (Reed) Collingwood, and
eight grandchildren, Aaron & Shawn Hobson, Katy & Kirk
Mercille, Rebecca & Eric Flint and Rob & Nicole
Collingwood. Mary Ann was predeceased by her brothers
Frank, Dominic, Ed and Matt Sardarov and leaves many
friends and family to remember her. A Memorial Service
will be held on Saturday, January 17, 10:00 am at Holy
Rosary Catholic Church, 4139 42nd Ave SW, West Seattle.
