An equipment failure that knocked out power to 335 customers in West Seattle has been resolved.

The power has been restored. The failure was in an underground line that fed several transformers. Since the line was underground it required being dug up to find the fault and then crews had to replace the section that failed.

Seattle City Light posted they are still trying to fix the equipment failure and that the power now won't be restored until 6:27 am on Sept 14, 2011.

335 West Seattle homes are without power as a result of an equipment failure. The time of restoration is likely after 2:00 am. To check on the status of the outage you can visit the City Light System Status page.
The original outage was concentrated along 48th s.w. from approximately 100th s.w. on the south to Brace Point Drive on the north. Now it has grown to include a major section of Maplewood Pl s.w. to the south and down to Brace Point just south of Fauntleroy Cove including s.w. 97th Pl.
