Crews working to build Phase II of the Ship Canal Trail closed the Nickerson/15th Avenue West Ramp on Monday morning. The ramp that allows travel from westbound W Nickerson Street to southbound 15th Avenue West will be closed for up to one month.

General traffic will stay on W Nickerson Street to West Emerson Street heading east, to access southbound 15th Avenue West

Due to limited turning movements, large trucks will be detoured onto westbound West Emerson Street, south along Gilman Avenue West to 20th Avenue West, and then eastbound on West Dravus Street to 15th Avenue West.

This Seattle Department of Transportation project will connect the Ship Canal Trail from 11th Avenue W to Emerson Street near Fisherman’s Terminal.
