press release:
Playing through December 24th, ArtsWest proudly presents the Seattle Premiere of a hilarious, mad-cap homage to all things Xmas. If you’re too busy to catch any other holiday show this season, why not see the one that has it all: Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!) by Michael Carleton, James FitzGerald and John K. Alvarez.

We begin with Brian reading the opening narrative of his umpteenth production of A Christmas Carol, when Justin and Nick start to rebel. “Don’t get me wrong, Christmas Carols’ a great story. Fezziwig, redemption, God bless us everyone, Nice ghost, Fat ghost, Scary ghost . . . but honestly, I’m just doing this ‘cause I need the insurance.” Reluctantly, Brian follows along as the actors launch themselves, and the audience, into a full-scale re-examination of all shows holiday, from Rudolph (with a slight adjustment for copyright issues) to “It’s a Wonderful Life” (in a second-act mash up that will blow your mind). And THAT’S NOT ALL! Traditions from around the world (some more questionable than others) and a finale that includes “Every Carol Ever Sung,” will leave you fully holiday-satisfied, with nothing left to do but wrap those presents and drink that nog.
Every Christmas Story Every Told (And Then Some!), is directed by Kate Jaeger; set and props by Jill Beasley; costumes by Stacey Derek; lighting by Josh Randall; and sound by Kyle Thompson. This whirlwind, Holiday Extravaganza, will be performed by Nick Edwards, Justin Huertas, and Brian Lange.
