The Ballard girls basketball team is competing at the Juanita Holiday Tournament and the Beavers faced Jackson High School for their second game. The Lady Beaverslost their first game to Bellevue and last night's opponent proved to be equally tough.
The game was still undecided at halftime with a 20-20 score but then Jackson came back strong in the third quarter, scoring 19 points while allowing Ballard to score only 6.
Ballard struggled to catch up with jackson in the final quarter while Jackson finished strong by scoring an additional 18 points. The final score was 59 to 36 for Jackson.
Imani bender led her team in scoring with 11 points, followed by Cailey Beckett with 10 points. Nancy MacGeoreg was strong on the defensive with 9 defensive rebounds and two assists.
The Lady Beavers play again today at 4:15 p.m. against Glacier Peak.
