Nomination forms for awards to be given at Discover Burien’s annual Awards Dinner and silent auction fundraiser are due by 3 p.m.,Wednesday, Feb. 8.

The event is March 2 at the Burien Community Center 14700 6th Avenue SW, from 6 – 10 p.m.. Money raised will support the continued efforts “To create and sustain a vibrant Burien business community through promotions and education" -Discover Burien Mission Statement.

Tickets are $35 in advance and $50 at the door. Tables seating 8 can be purchased for $240 in advance. Sponsorships are available at the Gold, Silver, Table, Auction Table and Swag Bag levels. Contact Debra George for information debrageorgemi@aol.com .

This year awards will be given for Business Leader of the Year, Non-Profit Leader of the year, Discover Burien Volunteer of the year, Student of the year, and Clean Sweep team member recognition.

The Student of the year award will also be accompanied with a scholarship of $500.

Robinson Newspapers will also present its annual Robby Award to a community leader.
