Chief Sealth and Garfield boys’ soccer kicked off their season Friday March 9th on a drizzly afternoon at Southwest Athletic complex. This game would prove to be all defense for both teams as the game resulted in a 0-0 tie.
Chief Sealth had twice as many shots on goal than Garfield but were unable to convert them into goals. The Seahawks did seem to have a bit on an offensive advantage, keeping the ball on Garfield’s end and pressing their defense. They also showed great ball rotation and poise as they didn’t try to rush their offense.

The Seahawks had several opportunities in the final minutes with a couple final shots on goal, but the shots were either too high or wide of the net. The Seahawks next game will take place on Tuesday March 13th against their division rivals the Rainier Beach Vikings. Garfield will take on Roosevelt next.
