The Foster Bulldogs hosted the Evergreen Wolverines Friday March 30th for a Seamount league boy’s soccer match. From the start Foster seemed to control the game, keeping Evergreens defense busy. The Bulldogs outshot the Wolverines 8-1 in the first half.
Throughout the game Foster had good open shots on goal but missed their opportunities when four good open shots hit the post deflecting their shots. Evergreen did a better job in the second half being able to get some good shots on goal and controlling tempo, but it was their defense that kept them in the game.
Late into the second half with 7:50 left in the game Foster scored on a questionable goal when the goalkeeper seemed to have stopped the goal but the referees ruled it as a goal. The goal was credited to Foster senior Adrian Hernandez. That would prove to be it for the game as the Bulldogs pull off the 1-0 shutout over Evergreen. Despite Evergreen's hard fought efforts and great defense, Foster was able to edge them out.
