Beavers Sports Roundup: Baseball beats Everett 4-0, Softball ladies have a rough night

Ballard Baseball played Issaquah at Whitman Middle School April 9 with a 4-0 victory.
Coming clean in the second inning, Ballard scored four runs against Issaquah that put them in the lead. Senior Caleb Jaeger pitched with zero earned runs.
Ballard held the lead for the next seven innings. Stuart MagGeorge went 1 for 4, with 2 RBI.
Thus far, Jaeger has held up his team with 29 innings and 1 earned run.
Softball:
It was a sore night for the Ballard girls’ softball team on Monday night. The Beavers played against Bothell at Lower Woodland Park and lost 4 to 13.
The Beavers started the first inning with a lead of 2 to 1, until Bothell scored 4 runs in the third inning. Going into top of the fourth, Bothell took the lead with a score of 5 to 4.
Andrea Jewett went 3 for 3, with 4 RBI. Jewett pitched for 5 innings, walked 2 and allowed 12 hits.
Ballard had 8 hits and 8 errors. Bothell had 15 hits and 1 error.
