Beavers Sports Roundup: Soccer ties with Garfield, LAX taking a lead with 5-10 on Everett

Soccer:
The Ballard boys’ soccer team played Garfield at Interbay Stadium on Friday, April 6.
30 minutes into the first half, Garfield’s Ben Feldman scored. Garfield still led the game with Toby Stansel putting in the second goal in the second half.
Ballard Hunter Phillip took a shot and scored the next goal in the second half. With 12 minutes left in the game, Garrett Wirta scored and left the game at a tie of 2 to 2.
LAX:
Ballard played Everett on Saturday, April 7, rising to its fifth win of the season with a 10 - 5 boys high school lacrosse defeat.
Due to this victory, the Beavers maintain a tie with Roosevelt for a second spot in the Metro-North Conference, leaving them just two games behind first-place Nathan Hale.
Everett is in second spot, just a game back of Snohomish in the Cascade Conference.
Ballard (6-4-0) will play Mukilteo (3-2-0) on Tuesday, April 10 at 8 p.m. at Kamiak High School.
