After losing Monday's game 2 to 1 against Woondinville, the Beavers came out swinging in a game against Roosevelt on Wednesday afternoon.
The Lady Beavers scored six runs in the third inning while keeping Roosevelt scoreless. Ballard scored three more runs in the fourth inning. Roosevelt tried to make a late comeback scoring three runs in the last two innings but it wasn't enough to upset the Beavers' lead.
Ballard won 9 to 3.
The Beavers got 13 hits off Roosevelt pitcher Megan Campbell with Ballard's Amry Kimmerly bringing in three RBI. Kirsten Aakervik got two hits in four at-bats and hit in two RBI, and Lexie Gray also had two RBI.
Soccer:
The Ballard spring soccer team lost their final conference game against Roosevelt on Tuesday night. Roosevelt was quick to find the back of the net, scoring two goals in the first half. Ballard's Tony Ribeiro scored one in the second half but Roosevelt answered it by scoring two more goals before the final whistle.
Ballard lost 4 to 1.
Lacrosse:
With 44 goals so far this season, Ballard's Sophie Mora continues to be ranked in the Top 10 Scoring Leaders in the Alki conference, according to the Washington High School Lacrosse association.
The Beavers girls lacrosse team is currently tied for third place with Kennedy Catholic High School.
The boys lacrosse team is also tied for third place. With six wins and seven losses, Ballard is tied with Blanchet in the Metro North conference.
Track & Field
The Ballard track and field team will compete against Roosevelt and Garfield at the SW Athletic Complex at 4:00 p.m.
