Burglary suspects lead police in chase
Two Burien burglary suspects lead police on a short high-speed chase from Rainier Avenue in Renton to Tukwila International Boulevard in Tukwila. Local police agencies had been alerted that the Burien burglary suspects were driving a green BMW that had been stolen in Kent.
The high-speed pursuit was halted on South 154th Street in Tukwila which followed protocol. The suspects left the BMW at an apartment complex and fled on foot. An extensive search began just south of Foster High School by a police tracking dog and officers from Tukwila and Renton. The search ended after officers had followed tips from residents who came in contact with the suspects or saw them running through backyards and on streets. The suspects remain at large.
Sleeping man wants to fight
Dispatch asked available King County Sheriff’s deputies to respond to a report of a man asleep on a Metro bus. A deputy responded to the 14900 blk of 4th Ave. S.W. and found the sleeping man. While trying to remove the man in his 20’s he started acting aggressively towards the deputy. It appeared the man wanted to fight the deputy. The deputy was able to restrain the man and he was booked into King County jail.
