A series of concert in memory of the May 30th shooting victims has been announced. Titled "Cafe Racer Love", there will be numerous concerts throughout the city this month to remember those lost in the shooting.

In Ballard, "Innocent When You Dream: A Tribute To The Departed" will take place on June 19 at Conor Byrne and The Tractor for a $10 suggested donation.

The Tractor will feature Wages of Sin, Bucharest Drinking Team, The Bad Things, Miss Mamie Lavona, Hounds of the Wild Hunt, The Great Um Millionaires Club, Dexter Street Stompers, Cast Iron Maidens, Special All Star Jam.

And the Conor Byrne will feature Titanium Sporkestra, Peculiar Pretzelmen, Orkestra Zirkonium, Bat Country, Bakelite 78, The Mongrel Jews, Love Market, Gods Favorite Beefcake, Mindy Lind, The Gloria Darlings and Sean Hurley.

Both show start at 5 p.m.

Ballard venues, the Tractor and Conor Byrne, are partnering up to host benefit shows for the victims of the May 30th shooting.

On the morning of May 30th, a gunman went on a violent rampage killing five people before later taking his own life after police cornered him in West Seattle.

At close to 11 a.m., the 40-year-old suspect, Ian Stawicki, walked into Café Racer in the U District.

When Café staff reminded Stawicki they had banned him from the business for his erratic behavior he calmly turned towards the door. but then suddenly drew .45 pistol and opened fire on staff and patrons inside the café.

Four of Stawicki’s five victims in the café were killed in the shooting.

A five-hour manhunt followed during which Stawicki fatally shot another woman and took her SUV. He headed to West Seattle where he was spotted and police surrounded him.

As officers approached Stawicki on the street, he knelt to the ground, pulled out another .45 handgun, and shot himself in the head.

Medics rushed Stawicki to Harborview where he later died from his wounds.

Two of Stawicki's victims were members of local Seattle folk band, God’s Favorite Beefcake, a favorite at Ballard venues. Drew “Shmootzi The Clod” Keriakedes and Joseph "Mashuguna Joe" Albanese were regulars at Café Racer, where the band frequently performed. As part of the band, Keriakedes and Albanese released two albums: 2009’s “A Beautiful Trainwreck” and 2011’s “Witches Bones ‘n’ Whale Skin.” Keriakedes and Albanese were last seen performing on stage on Saturday, May 26 during Folklife Festival at the Fun House in Lower Queen Anne.

The musicians and Stawicki's other victims will be remembered at the benefit shows, both taking place on June 19 at the Tractor Tavern and Conor Byrne Pub.
