Police ask for help identifying bank vandals

Shortly after 1:00 a.m. on June 17th, a masked man and woman were caught on camera destroying an ATM and spraying graffiti on the wall of the Bank of America in Crown Hill located at 15th Ave NW and NW 85th St. The woman was blonde and wearing a gray patterned tank top and a blue bandanna over her face. She smashed the bank’s ATM with a staple gun. The man wore a white mask, a dark baseball cap, and a black and gray jacket. He sprayed anti-bank graffiti on a wall. Seattle Police have posted several photos of the duo on the SPD blotter, and they are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the two. 1:00 p.m., August 9. N 88th St and Fremont Ave N

Police responded to a Greenwood residence after receiving reports of gunshots on the afternoon of August 9. Officers arrived at the scene and heard a woman crying. They found bullet holes on one side of the house and determined that all of the shots appeared to have been fired from inside the home. The motivation for the shooting was unclear, and none of the five people inside the home was injured. Police confiscated several items from the residence, including a shotgun, a revolver, a knife, and a fake driver’s license. The homeowner, a convicted felon, was arrested and booked into King County Jail for a weapons violation.

5:30 p.m., August 7. 14th block of NW 90th St

A woman returned home from work on the evening of August 7 to find that someone had broken into her apartment through her bathroom window. Her laptop was stolen, but nothing else appeared to be disturbed. The victim said that she had had a dispute with residents of a nearby unit in the apartment building. She said she used to live with them, but they moved out after the argument. The subjects denied knowing anything about the burglary.

10:00 p.m., August 6. 52nd block of Leary Ave NW

A man called police to report that he believed he had been burglarized by someone who had stayed at his house. The victim said that the subject came to his house on the night of August 5, and the victim allowed him to sleep on the floor. The following day, the subject left the house before the victim. Sometime after the victim left the house, someone kicked open the front door, entered the residence, and stole the victim’s prescription medication. The victim believed that the subject was responsible for the burglary.

3:29 p.m., August 6. 11th block of NW 45th St.

A man called police to report that his home had been burglarized while he was gone for several days. The victim shares the space with four roommates. He said that when he arrived at the house on August 6th, he noticed that several items had been moved and three guitars had been stolen. The victim also said that there was a pad lying on the floor and that someone appeared to have been sleeping on it. The victim’s neighbor said that a white male had left the house at around 4:30 a.m. on several occasions. The suspect was able to reach through the residence’s mail compartment and unlock the door.
