16-year-old girl arrested in SeaTac Motel 6 fatal shooting
A 16-year-old girl was arrested Sept. 19 in the fatal shooting of a 47-year-old man at the SeaTac Motel 6 in the 20600 block of Military Road Sept. 7, according to the King County Sheriff's Office. They expect more arrests. Detectives want the public's help in
finding 19-year-old Kavahn Matthews-Smith, who lives in the Skyway area and is considered a suspect. He is described as African American, 6-foot-5, 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information should call 911. The victim has been identified as Herman Herlondo Tucker of Skyway. He died from multiple gunshot
wounds. The 16-year-old girl was arrested in Seattle. A judge found probable cause to hold her in custody on investigation of first-degree murder, said Dan Donohoe, spokesman for King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg. It is expected that the girl will be charged as an adult, he said. Detectives determined that Tucker was checked into Room 224, and got a warrant to search, locating two cellphones, one that belonged to
Tucker. On the other phone, detectives found text messages detailing a plan "to rob Tucker of his rings and possibly cash," the probable-cause document says. "Investigators noted that Tucker died with multiple rings on his fingers and about $700 in cash in his wallet," the statement said. According to the statement, witnesses saw the girl fleeing the scene with three males in a BMW driven by a woman. Tucker was the
father of two Federal Way High School student athletes and coached South King County Junior Football League.
Registered sex offender pleads guilty to possession of child porn
A Des Moines, registered sex offender pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Seattle to possession of child pornography. Due to a 1991 Texas conviction for indecency with a child, Gregory Sean OʼNeall, 51, faces a mandatory minimum ten years in prison and up to 20 years in prison when sentenced on December 13, 2012. In his plea agreement,
OʼNeall admits he possessed more than 30,000 images of child pornography. OʼNeall came to the attention of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force because of his postings on an online file sharing site. An agent with ICEʼs Homeland Security Investigations was working undercover on the site and observed sexually explicit images of children being distributed from OʼNeallʼs internet protocol address. The agent engaged OʼNeall in an online chat. OʼNeall discussed various photographs that he took of young girls. Further investigation revealed that OʼNeall had posted other pictures in albums on a web site. More than 100 of the photos had been surreptitiously taken of young girls shopping with their families at retail stores. Prior to his arrest in June 2012, OʼNeall worked for a contractor providing food samples at a Costco store in Federal Way, Washington.
