According to Det. Mark Jamieson with the Seattle Police Department, a 16-year-old male and two male cohorts were seen pushing a shopping cart full of flat-screen televisions shortly before midnight on Halloween in Highland Park.
The officer saw the suspects on the 1200 block of S.W. Holden St., and when they saw him they all split into separate directions (leaving the TVs behind). A home burglary had been recently reported on the 7000 block of 12th Ave S.W.
A K-9 unit was brought in to track the suspects, along with a birds-eye view from Guardian One, the King County Sheriff’s Office helicopter, Jamieson wrote.
Near the corner of 13th Ave S.W. and S.W. Webster the 16-year-old was found hiding under a bush, along with several smaller items he was suspected of stealing from the home.
It was determined the TVs all came from the home as well and the suspect was booking into the Youth Services Center for investigation of burglary. His accomplices are still on the loose.
