In the near future, the Ballard High baseball players might make like the pros and play at Safeco Field.
But first, they need your help.
If the baseball program reaches their fundraising goal of selling 1,000 tickets to a Mariners game, they themselves will get the opportunity to play at Safeco Field.
From Ballard High baseball's website:
"That’s right, the Beaver Nine will be stepping into the same batter’s box as the pros! They’ll be fielding grounders on the same infield as Dustin Ackley, and slinging fastballs from the same mound as King Felix! They’ll also get their names displayed on the largest video screen in Major League Baseball, which the Mariners are proudly installing as you read!"
How rad would that be? Answer: Super rad.
