King County Sheriff's Office deputies are searching for a suspect near S.W. 107th St. and 28th Ave. S.W. as of midday on March 5. Their suspect is believed to be the same man who escaped police custody at Harborview on Feb. 25. His name is Alan Polevia and KCSO said he was last seen dressed in all dark or black clothing.

The King County Sheriff's Office is calling off their search for Alan Polevia as of 1:54 p.m.
Polevia escaped from KCSO custody at Harborview Hospital on Feb. 25 and was spotted by a deputy near Arbor Heights in West Seattle on March 5. Containment was set up and K-9 units were brought in, but Polevia was able to elude the authorities yet again.

The suspect KCSO deputies are searching for near Arbor Heights in West Seattle is identified as Alan Polevia (seen above). Sgt. Cindi West said he now has a shaved head.

The King County Sheriff’s Office, as of 12:13 p.m. on March 5, is searching for a recent escapee near S.W. 107th St. and 28th Ave. S.W. at the West Seattle/North Highline border.
According to KCSO Sgt. Cindi West, the same man who escaped from deputy custody at Harborview Hospital on Feb. 25 (with handcuffs still on) was spotted by a deputy in the area earlier today. The deputy attempted to stop the suspect, described as a Samoan male, 5’8”, 170 lbs., who fled.
Deputies have brought in two K-9 search units and have S.W. 104th to S.W. 106th and 26th Ave. S.W. to 28th Ave. S.W. cordoned off to focus the search. West said KCSO’s helicopter Guardian One is currently unavailable.
West said the suspect dropped a duffle bag full of mail, indicating he may have been involved in mail theft when the deputy made contact.
Just after 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 25 (the day of the escape), deputies were preparing their detainee for transport from Harborview Hospital to the King County Jail when he took off running and fled through a parking garage. He was detained for two theft warrants, according to SPD.
Shorewood Christian School is on modified lockdown.
Arbor Heights Elementary School did speak with authorities and it was determined it was not necessary to put the school into lockdown or shelter in place.
Shorewood Elementary in the 2700 block of 116th SW is on modified lockdown, all exterior doors locked, no outside recess.
