A third place finish added up to a fifth place finish for Luke Doss and the Seattle Christian School boys golf team.
Doss took third place individually for the Warriors in the Class 1A state tournament, stroking to third place round finishes both days.
Doss shot a 74 on Tuesday to get things started, then turned in a 76 the next day for a total of 150 for two rounds at the Lake Spanaway course in Spanaway south of Tacoma.
His efforts helped the Warriors score 41 team points for a fifth place overall finish. Ilwaco finished first with 132.50 team points.
Kennedy sent four athletes -- two boys and two girls -- to the state Class 3A tournament.
The girls both placed for the Lancers in action at the Lewis River course in Southwest Washington.
Nikki Miller shot a 91 and a 92 on back-to-back days for a total of 183 points and a tie for 21st place.
Teammate Rahcelle Navarro turned in a 92 and a 93 for a total of 185 points and a 23rd place tie in the same competition.
Neither of the JFK boys golfers made it past the first day cut.
Evan Galando shot an 82 in action on the Tri-Mountain course, also in Southwest Washington, and Todd Lehman turned in a round of 86.
