Night Out will see parties across West Seattle form to get neighbors acquainted and help prevent crime.
Night out, the national crime prevention event, set for Aug. 6 will see block parties across Seattle and the nation coming together to help neighbors get to know each other to fight crime and celebrate their community.
Last year, according to the Seattle Police Department, 1366 block parties were conducted in Seattle and in West Seattle proper, many of them are major neighborhood events.
This year the theme is "Celebrating Crime Free Neighborhoods."
