While most of us were asleep, David Rosen was out capturing the bolts of lightning that accompanied an intense thunderstorm that passed over Seattle in the early morning hours of Aug. 10.

Between 1am and 2am the lighting was especially strong and was followed by a heavy rain.

No power outages or damage were reported.
