Seatac-- At about 1:12 A.M. on September 19, 2013, the Sheriff’s Office received reports of multiple shots being fired in the 16700 block of 31 AV S, just east of International Blvd. A man in his 30s fled the scene to a nearby bank where he collapsed with at least one gunshot wound. Another person from the same bullet ridden car checked himself into a nearby hospital with at least one gunshot wound.
The car the men were in crashed into several parked cars in an apartment parking lot after they had been shot at. The shooters in this case have not been captured and there are not very clear accounts from witnesses.
The man who fled to the bank was transported to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries. The other passenger in the vehicle was driven privately to Highline hospital after he left the scene prior to deputies arriving.
It is not yet known if the shooting was a random act or the people in the car were specifically targeted.
The King County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes detectives are investigating this ongoing case.
