Seattle Police say a man is in critical condition at Harborview Hospital after suffering a severe beating near Roxhill Park in West Seattle on the evening of Oct. 14.
A call came in that a man was down near 28th Ave. s.w. and S.W. Roxbury St. around 8:45 p.m., according to the police report. When police arrived the victim was going in and out of consciousness and bleeding from at least one ear.
One witness told police she saw six black male teens kicking the victim while he was down, but did not know where they went. Another said he saw a dark sedan near the beating, but it was gone by the time police arrived.
The police search for suspects was unsuccessful and the victim was transported to Harborview.
This is the second high-profile assault near Roxhill Park and Westwood Village in the past week, with two young men suffering stab wounds on Oct. 10.
