The garage door was not forced open and the woman said the garage door could have been left open by another resident. Her husband’s bicycle was not secured in any way inside the garage. A second bicycle could have been stolen, the woman said, but the owner of it was not home. The woman could not provide any good description of the possible burglars.
Man gets out of car, burglar drives off with man’s car
Nov. 9, 8:51 p.m., 6000 Block of NW 90th St -- A man pulled up to the front his house to find that his motion sensor lights were on. As he sat and watched, he noticed movement in his backyard. A few minutes later, a male walked out from his neighbor’s yard and continued east on NW 90th St.
The man then got out of his car and went to the back of his house to check things out. When he turned back around, his car, with the burglar presumably in the driver’s seat, was being driven down the alley.
When the police officer showed up, he and the man went through the house. Nothing appeared to be missing, except for four rings that had been taken off the dresser in the bedroom. There were no signs of forced entry. The man said that because he keeps the outer gates locked and has high fences, he sometimes does not lock the back door to his house. The only way to get in would be to climb over the fence.
