Shot taken at Sunset Park.
With no rain and open skies this week there have been some amazing sunsets. The Ballard News Tribune took advantage of it and toured Ballard looking for the transforming power of light. It may be cold out there, but a deep crimson sunset in Nov. warms more than the mind.
Here we are at Sunset Park as the sun sinks behind the jagged teeth that are the Olympics. Joggers, dog walkers and motorists pause to watch the blazing sun move across the azure expanse and saturate the West in tangerine beams of utter stillness. It seemed like the whole day was leading up to this earthly drama.
The Ballard News Tribune does not take sunsets lightly. We are serious sun-geeks here. If you have a sunset photo you would like to share, please send it to shaneh@robinsonnews.com.
