A full tilt rock show, celebrating their namesake ice cream will happen in this tiny space in White Center starting at 8pm Dec. 11 by legendary rock band Mudhoney. But get there early for your taste of the honey, fudge and cinnamon dessert and get your place.
The little ice cream company that could, White Center's Full Tilt, has done it again.
The company, located at 9629 16th Ave SW in White Center (though they have five locations now) known for its unusual flavors, chose to name their newest Mudhoney after the legendary and seminal grunge band.
They created some flavors using West Seattle's Shipwreck Honey single pollen sourced honey as an ingredient, along with some cinnamon and fudge.
Owner Justin Cline (and co-owner Ann Magyar) came up with idea to get the band involved. Cline has a background in band promotion and booking having worked years ago at the famous club, The Offramp in downtown Seattle. Through a connection they managed to get the band to approve the final flavor and asked if they'd play at the store.
Surprisingly enough they said yes.
So the tiny, 50 person capacity store will close at 5pm on Wed. Dec. 11 to make the space ready for a live performance by the band, set to bring a heaping helping of powerful rock at 8pm, following the ice cream's introduction to the crowd at 7pm.
Parking nearby is limited and it's not the widest of sidewalks so expect to see a crowd out front, and the weather forecast is for rain so if you go, be prepared.
