In a letter sent last week to Mayor Elect Ed Murray, the Westwood/Roxhill/Arbor Heights Community Council (WRAHCC) expressed concerns about crime in the area, transit issues and offered suggestions for how they might be addressed.
Now the WRAHCC and Metro Transit have arranged a walk through of the Roxhill Park / Westwood Village Transit Hub. Marty Minkoff, Service Planning Supervisor for Metro, along with other key members of the Metro staff will be there. They won't be responding to public concerns directly at the event. It's purpose is to share with them, the nature of the issues facing the area.
In a note to media and others the WRAHCC through Chairperson Amanda Kay Helmick said, "The Westwood Village Transit Hub is a unique situation. As a neighborhood, we would like to be able to partner with Metro, Parks and the Seattle Police Department to address the concerns and challenges we are facing as a community."
