A burglary suspect was apprehended by Seattle Police after they called in air support from King County's Guardian One helicopter in the early morning hours of April 11 in West Seattle.

Police responded to a report of a window being broken and the sound of someone inside a home in the 9000 block of 16th S.W.

The police report states: " Upon arriving Officer Hancock saw several suspects running from the scene in the alleyway being the location. Officer Hancock detained two suspects...in the alley... With the assistance of King County unit Guardian One, Officer Morland and Officer Renner were able to take a third suspect into custody...

I then approached the apartment with Officer Skaar and Officer Gochnour. There were lights on inside the apartment. The window on the south side of the apartment appeared to have a hole broken into it but was secure. The window on the rear of the apartment (north side) appeared to be broken at the bottom. A pole that looked like it had been securing the window had been pushed into the apartment through the hole in the glass. However all windows and doors appeared to be locked.

A that point Officer Gochnour located a fourth suspect ...crouching in the bushes below the south side broken window. Officer Gochnour and I took (the suspect) into custody without incident. (The suspect) told me that he and his friends were trying to get into the apartment through the south side window. (The suspect) told me that he had been there with four of his friends.

Officers and King County unit Guardian One did not locate any other suspects in the area."

All suspects were taken into custody.

One of them had injured his leg but was treated by Seattle Fire Dept at the precinct.

A computer check later revealed that one suspect had a felony warrant out of Juvenile Court of Seattle for car theft
