Home invasion near White Center results in stabbing

After midnight on April 18 police were called to the scene of a stabbing in an apartment in the 9200 block of 20th Ave. S.W. near White Center.
According to police an adult male victim answered a knock on his front door to his apartment but as he opened the door two unknown male suspects forced their way in. After trying to get the victim to go outside a fight began.
The victim said he thought he was being punched by the suspects but was actually being stabbed.
Police said that the victim had been stabbed in the chest and in the arms. Both suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction and remain at large. It is unknown is anything was stolen in the incident.
There were additional family members inside the apartment at the time of the home-invasion, a woman and two children who were not injured and were asleep at the time police surmised.
The victim, believed to be in his 20′s, was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers conducted an area search but found no suspects.
The only suspect descriptions available at this time are two unknown race males wearing bandannas over their faces. One suspect was wearing a hoodie.
Robbery detectives are responding to process the scene and assume control of the active and on-going investigation.
