Bandit brandishes bowie knife, flees on electric bicycle
April 15 – At the 4700 block of Shilshole Avenue Northwest police responded to an attempted assault. Officers arrived on the scene and found the victim uninjured. The victim said that when he arrived home he was covering his motorcycle and noticed the suspect in his parking area. The victim asked the suspect what he was doing there and the suspect said his electric bicycle had a flat tire. The victim noticed the tires appeared inflated and told the suspect to leave. The suspect then pulled out a 12 inch razor sharp hunting knife and said, "I'll just cut you up into little pieces, you (expletive). I'll just cut you up." The victim said he was going to call the police and then the suspect said, "I know where you live, I'll be back and cut you up." Then the suspect sped off on his electric bicycle. The victim managed to get a picture of the suspect driving off. Police have no other leads.
Man beaten with steel bar, rushed to Harborview
April 13 – At the 9200 block of 8th Avenue Northwest police responded to an assault. A resident reported a man was bleeding on his steps. Police arrived and the victim approached the officers asking for help. The victim had several large bumps on his head, and his eye and jaw were swollen. Officers called Seattle Fire Department and while waiting officers applied sterile dressing to the wounds. The victim told officers that he was attacked by a group of white men and that they hit him with a steel bar. SFD arrived and assessed the wounds. The victim was rushed to Harborview Medical Center. The resident who reported the assault could not provide any other information.
Beware of dog
April 12 – At the 4400 block of 2nd Avenue Northwest officers responded to an attempted burglary. The complainant arrived home to find his front door was partially damaged and the frame was askew. Police believe the suspect kicked the door. The complainant has a large dog and police believe the beast scared the thief away. No prints were found.
Thief takes bike and rack
April 11 – at the 5400 block of Leary Avenue Northwest police responded to a burglary. The complainant told officers that his locked storage unit had been usurped. The lock had been forced open. The suspect took a bicycle and a bike rack. No prints were recovered and the complainant told officers that he may have access to security footage and would follow up with them.
Thief ransacked medical office
April 11 – At the 5200 block of 20th Avenue Northwest officers responded to a burglary at a medical office. Officers made contact with the owner and he told them that a laptop, a monitor, a large number of checks and approximately $1000 in cash had been taken. The suspect rifled through storage areas, a locked wooden cupboard and the parking garage. Police reported that the burglar gained access through the parking garage and rampaged multiple doors in his path to pilfer. No security footage or fingerprints were recovered.
